Licenciado y Magíster en Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad de Chile. PhD (Environmental Sciences) University of Western Ontario, London Ontario, Canadá. Investigador de la Universidad de Magallanes con base en Punta Arenas. Se dedica al estudio de la variabilidad ambiental de ecosistemas terrestres naturales, con especial énfasis en ecosistemas forestales y ambientes montañosos sujetos a las fluctuaciones de glaciares.
